Thousands of cocking fans and aficionados are expected to jampack the fully-airconditioned SAN JUAN COLISEUM tomorrow (August 6, 2008, Wednesday) featuring 100 QUALITY FIGHTS from a long list of cocking stars in Philippine Cockfighting.

This event is hosted by veteran promoter BOBBIT PLES, known for staging well-participated and well-attended derbies for the past 20 years.

Due to the tremendous response to this big event, fans are advised to come earlier to avail of choice seats.

Derby starts promptly at 1PM.

Dear fellow cockers and friends,

In line with the efforts of Mr. Bong Pineda to promote and upgrade the premier pastime sports in the Philippines which is Cockfighting, I am pleased to inform you that San Juan Coliseum will stage the 22nd Season PAHABOL SA TAGLUGON 4-Cock Clean-up Derby on August 6, 2008 (Wednesday), adapting again a favorable 1-day straight format. This is the last cock derby for this year.

"PAHABOL SA TAGLUGON" is the longest running cock-season ender which was originally conceptualized 21 years ago to accommodate cockers and breeders nationwide to fight their remaining cocks and bullstags before undergoing 4 to 6 months of moulting. This annual event has established many record-breaking feats in terms of participants and patrons that have paid to witness it.

It will be staged on AUGUST 6, 2008 (Wednesday) at the world-class SAN JUAN COLISEUM, which is at present the most comfortable and accessible cockpit in Metro Manila.

Because of its very favorable ONE-DAY STRAIGHT DERBY FORMAT, it has already attracted more than 1,500 cockers in the past 21 years. It stakes a guaranteed prize that will easily reach P500,000 or more. Entry fee is pegged at P8,800 only. Minimum bet is P5,500. All entries will be bracketed according to classification. Balanced and fair matching is always our primary concern. Submission will be 1-day before the fight from 2PM to 9PM. Provincial entries are advised to reserve their cockhouses earlier.

Recent development shows that the internet and online sabong forums like this have been been a big part of many major competitions. Online cockers and breeders have shown their toughness and competitiveness to their local counterparts and have demonstrated tremendous results. It is in this regard that I am personally inviting cockers from this on-line sabong community, like the UBBA Group, Cyberfriends, Regional Cockers Clubs, and our foreign-based Pinoy Cockers based in the US, Europe, Middle East, Hongkong and elsewhere to also be part of this prestigious annual event.
